A Sanctuary for the Slow Burn.
A Private Society for Burlesque.

The G-String Collective is a private social club dedicated to the heritage of the burlesque arts.
We invite our members to take part in a transportive, fully immersive world that feels curated for their eyes only. From exclusive, candlelit showcases to industry member receptions, these gatherings are designed to resurrect the golden age of nightlife—keeping it breathtakingly high-production, yet entirely accessible.
And the best part? For less than the price of a standard evening on the town, your membership grants you a passport to an entire calendar of glamour-fueled gatherings each month.
We believe that a night out shouldn’t be a rare luxury. By establishing a sustainable, member-supported clubhouse model at a private locale, we aim to put affordability back into our audiences' wallets in this increasingly challenging economic climate. This allows us to directly fund and support our artists, ensuring the modern ecdysiast has a fierce, stable platform to keep this historically significant—yet financially demanding—art form alive.
Ultimately, the Collective exists as an actionable answer to equitable inclusion, bridging the gap between the legends of the past and the icons of the future. In order to honor the history of burlesque, we must provide for its present.

I
Private & Exclusive
We don't sell public tickets. Access to our curated showcases is strictly reserved for members and their designated guests in a space designed with pure atmosphere, exceptional acoustics, and vintage glamour in mind.
II
Priority Booking
With just 50 seats in the salon, space is limited so that each exhibit feels immersive and intimate. Our membership structure ensures our supporters always get first priority for reservations before the room ever opens to curious Guest Passholders.
III
Affordable Luxury
Joining the Collective costs less than a single typical night out, but instead of a one-time receipt, you unlock ongoing monthly access to a private club where you can see, hear, and taste the premium standard in every corner and every glass.
IV
True Community
We bridge the gap between dedicated patrons and world-class industry talent. It’s an authentic collective and salon where performers, artists, and lovers of the craft connect under one roof to preserve and celebrate the fine art of burlesque.

Enrollment opens soon. Stay tuned.

Here you'll find a list of Frequently Asked Questions about The G-String Collective. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any other inquiries you may have.
"How does Membership at The G-String Collective work?"
Whether you are an onstage Performer or a dedicated Patron of the Arts, the Collective is designed intentionally for you. By choosing your dedicated tier—Industry or Non-Industry—you gain entry into a curated world of clandestine experiences. Membership for both tiers unlocks access to our live-band showcases, historical retrospectives, academic lectures, and artistic workshops, while Industry Members are automatically eligible to be considered for casting in performance exhibits or to pitch and host a workshop/class in the Clubhouse. Most importantly, your dues directly sustain the artists keeping the form alive by ensuring a premium rate for performers, funding our communal equity initiatives, and helping us secure the capital necessary to establish our ultimate vision: our very own ecdysiast-owned and operated venue.
"I'm not ready to commit to a full Membership just yet. Do you offer free trials?"
Absolutely. We love welcoming new faces into the folds of the salon. You may purchase a standalone Guest Pass that will allow you temporary access to the Clubhouse for a scheduled exhibition night. Should you purchase a standalone Guest Pass and later decide to officially join the collective, the cost of your Guest Pass will be credited directly toward your new monthly or annual membership dues.
"How do I secure an Industry Tier Membership? Are there any qualifiers?"
To preserve the integrity and professional safety of our network, we verify the status of all Industry applicants. Performers must provide a link to their professional Website or Instagram during checkout. Instagram accounts must be set to public at the time of vetting. Please Note: initiation fees are strictly non-refundable. If your account is private when verification is attempted, you will not be refunded.
"Why do I have to submit a photo ID to apply to join The Collective?"
The Collective operates as a closed club providing complimentary liquid hospitality. We are bound by California regulations to ensure every soul crossing our threshold is at least 21 years of age. IDs are used strictly for legal age and name verification, to protect our community. They are handled with the utmost discretion and stored securely.
"How does eligibility to perform as an Industry Member work?"
When you step into our Performer (Industry) Tier, you are immediately eligible to apply for a featured performance slot in our signature showcase, The G-String Revue, or pitch a curriculum to host a masterclass within the Clubhouse. Artists selected for the Revue are booked for a future exhibit date with premium, guaranteed pay—with your travel and lodging accommodations fully covered by The Collective if you're traveling 100+ miles. If your workshop is selected, you will have full use of the Clubhouse (minus the bar) with zero financial penalty or space fees should you need to cancel or reschedule. Workshop leaders retain 100% of admission sales made to non-members. To support the community, active Collective members receive a preferred, discounted reservation rate for classes, with those specific ticket sales split evenly between the Workshop Leader and The Collective.
"I'm a performer but I'm not local to Southern California. Can I still apply for Industry Membership?"
Our mission for financial equity knows no borders. Joining the Industry Tier places you directly onto our curated performer roster, regardless of your coordinates. If you are chosen to exhibit in a showcase or lead a masterclass at the Clubhouse, The Collective fully covers and reimburses travel accommodations for Performers traveling 100+ miles—including airfare, gas, and lodging. Furthermore, we will actively coordinate with our network of local showrunners and sister productions to help book and facilitate additional opportunities for you while you are in town. No non-compete clauses here.
"How does ticketing and seating work for The G-String Collective?"
We are a private club and do not sell tickets to our showcases; access to the Clubhouse is strictly reserved for Members and designated Guests. Because our hidden salon seats just 50 guests comfortably, reservations for events are tiered: members of the Patron (Non-industry) tier enjoy priority booking before the room opens up. Members of the Performer (Industry) tier gain access next, and remaining Guest Passes are released last. This ensures Patrons always get first dibs, while Guest Passes remain highly limited. All reservations can be made through the Membership portal. Please note that seating is first-come, first-served upon arrival.
"Do Members get special access to masterclasses and workshops?"
Yes, but we split our programming into two distinct experiences. Masterclasses and workshops curated directly by The Collective Team are strictly private, featuring complimentary liquid hospitality for active members. For independent workshops pitched and hosted by our Industry Members, the room opens slightly wider to include non-members, and because the general public may be present during these independent sessions, no alcohol or bar amenities will be served in order to strictly maintain our private club regulations.
"Are food and drinks available during showcases?"
Immerse yourself completely—each showcase includes curated liquid refreshments, poured with our compliments to keep the evening fluid and the mood uninhibited. We also have a private collection of wine available. However, our private salon relies on a culture of respect, safety, and sophisticated self-monitoring. Overconsumption is an absolute hard no. While we trust our inner circle to celebrate responsibly, The Collective strictly monitors the floor and enforces a firm three-drink maximum per guest. The Collective team reserves the absolute right to refuse further beverage service or mandate an immediate, responsible departure for anyone exhibiting disruptive behavior. We pour with generosity, but we protect the sanctity of our artists, patrons, clubhouse, and neighborhood above all else. Curated small bites will be available at select events.
"How do my dues support the Artists?"
True financial equity is baked directly into our foundation. Dues collected are used to maintain our clubhouse and provide premium rates to all featured artists, crew, and lecturers, while twenty percent (20%) of all monthly membership dues are automatically diverted into our Mutual Aid Reserve known as Equi-Tease. This fund acts as a critical safety net for our community, providing emergency relief for medical, housing, or crisis costs, alongside fair-wage grants for working artists at the discretion of the Founders. The remainder of dues will help us raise the capital necessary to expand our clubhouse in 2027.
"Are we allowed to take photos and videos?"
To preserve our clandestine atmosphere and protect the anonymity of our space, flash photography and location-based "geotags" are strictly prohibited. Members are welcome to photograph and film the ambience and decor and are encouraged to tag @thegstringcollective, but no member may film or photograph the entirety of a showcase, lecture, or event in the Clubhouse, nor may they record a performer's act in its entirety without express written consent from both the Founders and the featured artists. This restriction applies to all recording devices and technology, including but not limited to smartphones and digital SLRs while smart eyewear (such as Meta or camera-enabled glasses) is strictly prohibited. The Clubhouse's exact address and general city locale may not be geotagged on any social media platform. Any compromised digital perimeters must be removed within 48 hours of notification by The G-String Collective, or membership will be immediately revoked without notice or refund. If you are seeking a Media or Press Pass, please contact The Collective directly for accredited access. Otherwise, we urge Members and Guests to live in the moment with us and experience The Collective in real-time.
"Where is the Clubhouse located?"
The Clubhouse is a secret, unlisted speakeasy in Orange County, with the precise location disclosed exclusively to Members and designated Guests on the morning of an event. The space serves as our temporary homebase for the 2026 season. We will also be hosting exclusive pop-ups throughout California and Nevada while we build momentum toward establishing a permanent, flagship residence in 2027.
"Are dogs really allowed?"
Yes! Well-behaved, house-trained companions are welcome to join you in the Clubhouse. We just ask that they remain leashed and mindful of the performance environment so everyone (two-legged and four) can enjoy the space.
